Houston Janitors Win Agreement

* Stakeholders Agree: $20 a Day is Not Enough

After weeks of striking, public protest and civil disobedience, Houston janitors have reached an agreement with contractors. Rallying to improve from $20 per day and no health insurance, Houston janitors were joined by janitors and SEIU staff from all over the country. These janitors and their supporters were arrested for acts of civil disobedience, and endured humiliating jaunts and inhuman conditions by and from Houston police. The Missouri Division's Kevin Oliver, Wendell Foxwell, and Justin McBride were among those who demonstrated and were arrested with Houston janitors.
