*Please note: anyone who receives benefits from the Local 50 Benefit Service Trust Fund should have received a new benefits card since August 1st. If you have not received your new card instructing you to call Benefits Consultants, Inc. (BCI) for claims, please contact the Funds office at 314-361-2750. Also note: Despite recent changes to the Funds, you still have HealthLink insurance plan; however, BCI will pay your claims.
Scholarships There are fifty-two open scholarships for 2007-2008. Applications are available at the Union office and must be postmarked by March 1, 2007. Below are the descriptions of each open scholarship program: | SEIU Scholarship Program (48 Scholarships Annually) | Fifteen $1,000 scholarships renewable for up to four years and thirty-three $1,500 scholarships for one year of study. | SEIU Jesse Jackson Scholarship | | One $5,000 scholarship renewable for up to four years for one student whose work and aspirations for economic and social justice reflect the values and accomplishments of Rev. Jesse Jackson. | | SEIU John Geagan Scholarship | | Up to two $5,000 schoolarships to be expended over a 24 month period ($2,500 per year). These annural scholarships are for SEIU members, their children and local staff who want to pursue a college degree in labor studies. |
